Running between Grimes Canyon Road and Balcom Canyon Road, this segment completes what I call “The Lemon Track,” a loop that winds through some of the region’s most scenic agricultural terrain. This ride isn’t about extreme technical challenge—it’s about flow, rhythm, and the setting. Stockton Road cuts through a landscape shaped by decades of farming, especially citrus. The surrounding groves are part of the legacy that gave Ventura County its reputation as a major lemon-producing region. You’ll pass by ranch land, open fields, and rolling hills that reflect the area’s deep agricultural roots, much of which dates back to early 20th-century development when irrigation and rail access made large-scale farming possible. As a connector, Stockton has its own personality: smoother, more open in places, but still offering enough curves to stay engaged as you transition between the tighter, more demanding sections of Grimes and Balcom.
