His extraordinary technique, speed, improvisational freedom and expressive command of the instrument made his playing an important reference for later generations of cimbalom performers. The Romanian Cultural Institute describes him as one of the great masters of the instrument whose style had a profound influence on cimbalom players in Southeastern Europe. Sârba is a Romanian traditional dance characterized by a very lively rhythmic impulse and traditionally danced in a circle. In concert repertoire, this dance type can become a vehicle for instrumental virtuosity, preserving its driving rhythmic identity while greatly expanding the technical possibilities of the solo instrument. Sârba de Concert is closely associated with Toni Iordache’s cimbalom repertoire. Historical recordings document Iordache himself performing Sîrba de Concert, while later educational and competition programmes also circulate the piece under his name. Because the available early discographic sources identify him clearly as the cimbalom soloist but do not consistently specify a separate composer credit, we retain the established repertoire attribution without making a stronger authorship claim. In Irineu Păduraru’s performance, the piece becomes a test of rhythmic control, clarity of attack and continuous forward motion. Sârba — румунський народний танець із дуже жвавим ритмічним характером, який традиційно виконують у колі. У концертному репертуарі ця танцювальна модель природно перетворюється на основу для інструментальної віртуозності, зберігаючи гострий ритмічний імпульс і водночас розширюючи технічні можливості соліста. Sârba de Concert — «Концертна сирба» тісно пов’язана з виконавським репертуаром Toni Iordache.
