Some people from my past judge the man I've become. Others who know me today judge the person I used to be. Neither group knows the entire story. You can't understand the man without understanding the battles that built him. Today, I try to use what I've experienced to reach young people who are walking through their own chaos. The angry kids. The misunderstood kids. The ones carrying pain they don't know how to explain. I see pieces of myself in them. And if my story can help even one young person realize that their circumstances don't have to determine their future, then everything I've been through can serve a greater purpose. That's what rising from the ashes means to me. It's not about pretending the past never happened. It's about taking everything that tried to destroy you and using it to build something better. I didn't escape the fire unchanged. I became who I am because I survived it.
