Families of victims and survivors, along with U.S. leaders, gathered at New York’s 9/11 Memorial on Friday, September 11, to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks. At Ground Zero, relatives held photographs of loved ones as the nation remembered those who lost their lives. A bell marked the moment the first hijacked plane struck the World Trade Center, followed by moments of silence during the solemn ceremony. Service members carried a large U.S. flag as a choir performed the national anthem. Former Presidents Joe Biden, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, along with Vice President JD Vance and other dignitaries, attended the commemoration.
