The World's Worst Hospital | Silent Hill: townfall Part 4

We continued Silent Hill: Townfall tonight, and I think I’ve officially reached the point where the game’s mechanics are starting to wear me down. The atmosphere is still incredible, the story is still interesting, and I genuinely want to see where everything goes. But the repeated stealth loop of waiting for monsters to leave, slowly moving into the next room, realizing it doesn’t have what I need, and doing it all over again is becoming really frustrating. That’s especially tough because the environments are so good that I want to explore them at my own pace. Instead, I’m spending more and more time hiding, waiting, and trying not to get spotted. I’m still invested enough to keep going, and there are absolutely things I really like about Townfall, but this stream was the first time I really felt the tension between how much I enjoy the story and atmosphere and how little I’m enjoying some of the core gameplay. We’ll see if the game can win me back.
