God's Greater Plan - Judges 14 - Pastor Jim Schultz

What happens when we do what is right in our own eyes instead of following God’s Word? In Judges 14, we see Samson pursue his own desires while disregarding God’s commands and the people around him. Yet even through Samson’s sin and failure, God is still at work, beginning to deliver His people from their enemies. This passage gives us both a sobering warning and a wonderful hope. We are called to live differently from the world, allowing God’s Word to shape our choices rather than simply following our own desires. But our hope is not found in our ability to be good enough. It is found in the grace and faithfulness of God. Just as God’s plan was greater than Samson’s sin, His plan of salvation is greater than ours. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Join us as we consider the danger of ignoring God’s Word and the amazing grace of Jesus that never fails His people. Message given at Hillside Evangelical Free Church on Whidbey Island.
