1974 Autocar S64B Restoration – Episode 1: Introduction & Radiator Removal

Welcome to my channel! My grandfather, Charlie Metz, purchased this 1974 Autocar S64B brand new. The truck has been in storage since 1990, and now, in 2026, it's finally time to put it back together. Join us as we bring this old truck back to life, beginning with removing the radiator. Where did the name "Big Blue Lowboy" come from? When we were kids, all the trucks were known by their colors: Big Red, Big White, Big Yellow, and so on. This one was Big Blue for a while, but eventually everyone just called it "The Lowboy." Over time, the two names came together, and "Big Blue Lowboy" stuck.
