The Summer Ruined My Allotment! Starting the Autumn Clear-Up & Digging Potatoes

Back at the allotment after a hot, hot, hot summer with hardly any rain, and sadly, a lot of my crops just haven’t made it. 🌞💧 So I’m starting the autumn allotment clear-up early and seeing what I can rescue before the growing season comes to an end. But there is one little surprise… 🥔 I’m also digging through the compost heap to see what potatoes have grown! You never quite know what you’ll find on an allotment! It’s not been the growing season I was hoping for, but there are still a few things to harvest and plenty to get on with. Join me as I clear away some of the failed crops, tidy up the plot and see what’s been hiding in the compost heap. 🌱 Do you start your autumn clear-up early when crops haven’t done well? Let me know in the comments — and have you ever found surprise potatoes growing in your compost?!
