🚍 New! Montreal STM Nova Bus LFSe+ long-range electric bus first ever ride ⚡ Route 55: Saint-Laurent

In this video, I ride a brand new Montreal STM Nova Bus LFSe+ long-range electric bus for the first time. These buses - known as the 45-000 series and from the year 2025 - are the newest Montreal STM buses to be delivered and to enter service. They are 100% electrical long-range buses which means they can hold their charge longer than the traditional Nova Bus LFSe short-range electric buses. If you recall, the Nova Bus LFSe buses used to serve the 36: Monk route up until recently when they were removed from service. As for the first long-range electric buses for the STM, those were the New Flyer XE40 fleet a couple of years ago. Now for the first time, we have Nova Bus LFSe+ long-range electric buses and we should receive 26 total. As of today - Monday, August 3, 2026, seven out of 26 are in service. In this video, we go for my first ride aboard the brand new buses on the route 55: Saint-Laurent. We are going in the south direction and ride from Henri-Bourassa metro station until the corner of Saint-Laurent and Crémazie Boulevard, just near the Crémazie metro station. The STM fleet number for this bus is 45-005 which means this is the 5th bus out of the series. We are also expecting some 2026 Nova Bus LFSe+ electric buses in the coming year or so.
