Mitsubishi is set to launch another ASX in Australia at the end of 2026 only this time it’s of a very different kind. The ASX VR-e is a Taiwanese-sourced small SUV developed in partnership with Foxtron that is looking to take the fight to the likes of the Kia EV3 and BYD Atto 3. Prices are expected to kick off from $47,000 for the base RWD grades and top out at $59,000 for the top-spec GSR AWD shown here. In today’s video, editor at large Nathan Ponchard takes our first look at this new small SUV from Mitsubishi to find out if it’s worth getting excited about.
