I still can't believe I actually got it. As I said in the other video -    • Get Rich Quick RetroAchievements [77/78]   my time even with states was 50 seconds off, so I did not see how the goal time would be possible. This set is out for nearly 1.5 years and only one single person beat it since then, but that person provided a video after I commented on the site. The GP makes you go through all the levels in a row and its obviously a bit more forgiveable, since you can't expect the player to play perfect for those 6 levels in a row. Well... except for here. This time doing all plat times in a row would not even be close to enough to reach plat on 4-GP, which is absolutely ridiculous, so I thought there must be some secret room or something, but nope, it's pretty much just tas tier optimization. I did it with slow motion and savestates to see what time would be possible. I mainly used slow motion, because I could not pull of some of these strats in real time and slow motion makes a lot of hard tricks almost free. For example midairs are one of the hardest smw tricks, but become very easy with slow motion. Anyway even with all of that I could not reach the goal time. I decided it's best to just give up, but it was so unsatisfying leaving the hack with just one achievement left after putting so much time into it. I went through the level again and compared section by section with the video to see where I lose time. I also kept thinking about new strats and small optimizations, mainly at work (because what else would you do there) and when I came home I tried my new ideas. Some worked, some didn't, but even finding strats that only saved like 0.1 was huge. The biggest idea was a very slight change to the route. I skip 4 coins in room 4, which skips waiting for the elevator, but I get 2 more coins in level 3 by waiting at the yoshi section and rest is just don't miss any coins, which is way more ridiculous than it sounds. After having all my strats I went for segment practice. I started with 12 segments, which sounds pretty absurd for a 2.5 min run. After that I went for 6 segments and then I wanted to do 3, but decided to do 4 first (room 1, 2+3, 4+5 and 6). Idea was having to start the segments with a different room for 3 segments for better practice, so doing (1+2, 3+4 and 5+6). The problem was I almost quit to the 4 segment grind. I could not get room 2+3 for ages and I really mean ages and worst of all I didn't even end up getting the completion, because I ended with a 2:32. I tried again offline and finally got it. I eventually got the 3 segment completion as well and despite the final segment it went pretty well. After that I did room 4-6 in a row and decided to start attempts. They went pretty mixed, since I got attempts going pretty quickly, but then I was stuck at spawn again. At some point I also kept dying in room 2, which got very frustrating. I lost a bunch of runs to room 3 and a few to room 4. Obviously 5 gave me the most trouble, since it's the most inconsistent one after spawn. Losing attempts to the hardest sections is expected, but I also got robbed multiple times past the shell by complete random stuff. I was about to end the session as my hands really hurt at that point, but then this attempt happened out of complete nowhere. I have absolutely no idea how, but I somehow never choked room 6, despite that being the level that took me the longest for the normal plat achievements. It works a bit different here, since now you gotta carry a shell to the top and use it to get coins on the munchers. There are 10 more coins above that section, which seemed more than worth, since you get multiple coins for each jump pretty much, but they are actually not worth. Trust me I spent forever timing these coins and looking for other coins to be replaced. It's super hard to compare, since the skillset is completely different, but I fully believe this achievement would be somewhere around td reds difficulty. Don't get fooled that this achievement is worth only 10 points. The dev didn't even beat it, so they just made every GP 10 points and all normal levels 5 points. After some feedback this set is now worth over 600 points and this is obviously a 100 point achievement.
