Sunrise On The Reaping [Student Made Film Adaptation]

This is a student made film that follows the events of Haymitch Abernathy in the second quarter quell, where twice the amount of tributes have been reaped. Witness the story and journey that Haymitch goes through and the aftermath of the games. How has this story truly shaped who Haymitch has become? IMPORTANT NOTE: This Fan Made Hunger Games Film was inspired by Susanne Collins Sunrise on The reaping: March 2025 release. I read the book and wanted to show our interpretation of this novel before the Lionsgate movie comes out in November, 2026. However, our film doesn't follow the events of Sunrise On the reaping exactly like the book. If you have not read the book, the story is a bit different. However, just keep in mind, that we are not professional filmmakers and we are still in high/middle school. We hope anyone who watched this film enjoyed it, and we tried our best bringing this book to life! We really had fun with it and we have exciting projects coming up. Message from the 16 year old Director/Writer/Cinematographer/Editor: Creating this film has been an amazing experience and I have learned so much from it. The process took time, because it was difficult to get everyone for certain days to film so it ended up being a longer film set than expected. However, this experience taught me so much and I loved seeing how the actors expressed themselves based on the character and bringing the story through life in a cinematic way. If our film touched you or inspired you in some way, it would really help us if you subscribed to follow our journey, it means a lot. Last but not least, my friends and I put a lot of effort into this film and wanted it to be the best it can be because it was truly a passion project of ours. I also believe that the skill of filmmaking grows through execution. This story to me was about capturing the emotional core, tone, and character choices, along with the beauty and artistic (cinematography) that I envisioned. So please, don't criticizes us harshly, as I am still growing as a highschool filmmaker.
