Willow Ashgrove - The Sídhe Ride Out (Official Lyric Video)

[Verse 1] Hush now, the hill has opened wide And a silver road runs down the other side Bridle and bell in the failing light The fair folk ride from the mound tonight [Verse 2] White as the frost on the blackthorn bough Cloaks like the mist coming off the plough Their horses fall on the earth so light You'd hear a harp before their tread tonight [Pre-Chorus] Don't you follow, don't you stray Keep to the hearth till the break of day [Chorus] The Sídhe ride out, the Sídhe ride out Beautiful and terrible, they turn about Look if you must but don't lean near For a year is a night in the world they steer Silver and shadow come winding out Bar the door and let them pass without Bright is the road and cold is the crown Cover your eyes as they're riding down [Verse 3] A girl went dancing seven springs past Into that music, too sweet to last They found her shoes in the morning dew But the girl who wore them, nobody knew [Pre-Chorus] Don't you follow, don't you stray Keep to the hearth till the break of day [Chorus] The Sídhe ride out, the Sídhe ride out Beautiful and terrible, they turn about Look if you must but don't lean near For a year is a night in the world they steer Silver and shadow come winding out Bar the door and let them pass without Bright is the road and cold is the crown Cover your eyes as they're riding down [Bridge] Iron in your pocket, a rowan on the sill And salt on the threshold to hold you still They cannot take what will not go So hold your own and tell them so [Chorus] The Sídhe ride out, the Sídhe ride out Beautiful and terrible, they turn about Look if you must but don't lean near For a year is a night in the world they steer Silver and shadow come winding out Bar the door and let them pass without Bright is the road and cold is the crown Cover your eyes as they're riding down [Outro] Hush now, the hill has opened to the light The fair folk ride from the mound tonight Music made with Suno · lyrics synced & video assembled locally with Whisper + ffmpeg.
