How to Grow an Avocado Tree That Actually Produces Fruit

Your avocado tree flowers every spring and gives you nothing back. If your avocado tree is not producing fruit, the problem usually isn't your soil — and in zone 9 or hotter, it's almost never the thing every guide tells you it is. Most avocado growing advice online is written for coastal California, where the climate quietly does half the work for you. In the low desert it doesn't.
