Vineyards cover their steep slopes for some 30 kilometers, with a difference in elevation of 500 meters and a maximum slope of 72 degrees. In some places, they appear like a precipitous cliff. The land here was once considered unsuitable for farming, but after centuries of human effort, it has been transformed into world-class vineyards. This is the home of Prosecco, Italy’s representative sparkling wine.
