Outspoken with Regina - Narratives in the 2026 Election Cycle

In the final stretch of the 2026 election cycle, Outspoken with Regina Davis Moss explores narrative power - the ability of communities to tell our own stories, challenge dominant assumptions, and influence culture, media, and policy over time. As voters navigate information from campaigns, news outlets, creators, social media, friends, family, and algorithms, Regina is joined by A.B. Burns and Jameelah Jones, members In Our Own Voice’s Creators for Change Council, for a conversation about the stories shaping how we understand this election, Black communities, Black women, and political power. Together, they’ll talk about what it means to be a trusted creator in a fast-moving information environment, how misinformation and missing context shape public understanding, and why visibility isn’t the same as having the power to define your own story. The conversation also examines how narratives about Black women influence whose voices are believed, whose experiences are taken seriously, and how Black women are treated in society.
