Heccharikagaa Rara - K V Narayanaswamy with V Thiagarajan and Palghat Raghu

Amongst my favourite combination in carnatic music, K V Narayanaswamy with Palghat Raghu stands out for its sheer brilliance. The understanding and total involvement which both KVN mama and Raghu sir, had for the other's music, resulted in so many mind blowing performances. A sublime Heccharikagaa rara, executed to perfection, which again is one of my most favourite composition, for the pace and gait at which it is rendered, and the sheer lyrical beauty. The tonal quality of the instrument, weight on the left side, choice of strokes and the immaculate balance between the right and left side of the mridangam, are just some of the highlights of Raghu sirs playing.
