Welcome to Mürren, Switzerland 🇨🇭❄️ Join us for a snowy winter village walk above the Lauterbrunnen Valley, with views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Wooden chalets, winding lanes and a cozy café stop make this afternoon a lovely addition to our Swiss Winter Escape playlist. 🏔️☕ We arrived in the middle of winter to find snow covering the village and the mountains around it. Chalet roofs wore thick white caps, and the snowy streets led us past colorful fountains, souvenir shops and hotels where we could easily imagine spending a quiet night. To us, Mürren felt like one of the most beautiful Alpine villages we had ever visited. 🏡❄️🛍️ One of our favorite moments was sitting in a cozy café with hot chocolate, looking straight out at the snowy peaks. We sipped our drinks, enjoyed the mountain views and picked up souvenirs to remember the day. Outside, children ran happily along the streets and played in the snow. We joined in with snowballs of our own! The village was peaceful, but there was plenty of laughter. ☕🍫⛄ We explored in the soft golden-hour light of a winter afternoon. Dusk arrived early, but the fading light only made us want to linger a little longer. The mountains still rose high above the chalets, and every bend in the lane gave us another reason to stop and look. This was exactly the snowy Swiss village experience we had hoped for. 🌄🏔️🚶‍♀️ Getting to Mürren is part of the appeal. This car-free village in the Bernese Oberland is linked to Lauterbrunnen by a cable car to Grütschalp and a mountain train onward to Mürren.
