ഖുർആനിൽ പരാമർശിച്ച ബാൽ ആരാണ്? | Baal: The Forgotten God

Baal: Who was he? For thousands of years, the name Baal appeared across the ancient Near East and Mediterranean world. From Canaan and Phoenicia to Carthage, Greece, and Rome, different civilizations worshipped or identified this ancient deity under different names. But who was Baal really? In this documentary, we explore the fascinating and dark history of Baal — the ancient storm deity associated with rain, fertility, power, and kingship. We travel from the ancient city of Ugarit and the discovery of the Baal Cycle, to the Kingdom of Israel and the confrontation of Prophet Elias (Elijah), peace be upon him, with the worshippers of Baal. We also explore the historical connections between Baal and names such as Baal-Zebub, Baal-Peor, Baal-Melqart, and Baal-Hammon, as well as the spread of Baal worship through Phoenician trade networks and the ancient Mediterranean. The documentary then takes us to Carthage, where archaeological discoveries at the ancient tophet have raised difficult questions about religious rituals and child sacrifice. We also examine how Greek and Roman cultures interpreted and transformed older Baal traditions, including the association of Baal with Zeus and Saturn. Finally, we explore the later appearance of Baal-related names in medieval occult literature and examine the subject from an Islamic perspective, including the Qur'anic warning about calling upon Baal instead of Allah, the Creator and Lord of mankind. The story of Baal is more than the history of an ancient idol. It is also a story about how beliefs, names, and religious traditions can change across civilizations while the fundamental problem of turning people away from the worship of Allah remains. “Do you call upon Baal and abandon the best of creators, Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” Watch until the end and discover the forgotten history behind one of the most famous names of the ancient world. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Topics covered: • Who was Baal? • Baal in the Quran • Baal worship in Canaan and Phoenicia • The Ugaritic Baal Cycle • Baal and Yam • Baal and Mot • Prophet Elias and the worship of Baal • Ahab and Jezebel • Baal in Samaria • Baalbek and Baal worship • Baal-Hammon and Carthage • The Carthaginian tophet • Baal and Zeus • Baal and Saturn • Ancient religious syncretism • Baal in later occult traditions • The Islamic perspective on idol worship Subscribe to DEEN KATHAKAL for more Islamic history, Qur'anic stories, ancient civilizations, mysteries, and lessons from the past. #Baal #IslamicHistory #DeenKathakal #Quran #BaalHistory #ProphetElias #AncientHistory #IslamicStories #Canaan #Phoenicia #Carthage
