After almost fifty years away from turning wood I decided to buy a Nova Comet II lathe. This video covers what I like about this lathe, how I got started turning and the tools I found to be necessary to get started with woodturning. Near the end I share what I don’t like about the Nova Comet II lathe. The Nova Comet is an excellent lathe. It has some important features that I wanted in a woodturning lathe. While the lathe came with enough tools to actually get started I found it necessary to purchase some additional tools to turn mu first projects. In this video I share those tools and why I needed them. In this version I’ve even included sharpening because that’s very important for traditional turning tools. If you're a beginning turner or someone interested in turning this video is for you. It's aimed at those who are thinking of getting into turning as well as those who have just started.
