I AM CHOIR: This AI Choir Plugin Sings YOUR Lyrics?!

I AM CHOIR is an AI choir plugin from AM I AUDIO that can sing your lyrics and transform an existing vocal performance into Gospel Choir, Children’s Choir, and Gang Vocals while keeping your original lyrics, melody, timing, and phrasing. In this first look and I AM CHOIR review, I’m putting the plugin through a real world music production workflow to see what it can do, how it works inside Logic Pro, and whether this is the kind of AI music production tool I might actually use. What makes this one especially interesting is the approach behind the AI. According to AM I AUDIO, the singers knowingly contributed their voices, were compensated for their work, and share in the success of the plugin. Processing also happens locally on your computer rather than uploading your audio to an external platform. As someone working in sync licensing, that raises an important question for me: could I actually use something like this in music intended for sync? I don’t have a definitive answer yet, but it’s something I think composers and producers need to be thinking about as these tools evolve.
