Chadderton Hall Parkrun (POV) - The Run - Event 443 - 01/08/2026 This is the POV of the parkrun. My first parkrun at this event finishing in 56th place with a time of 32m16s. My running watch decided not connect properly with the GPS, so the Course Map and Elevation data became unavailable from the start. Later in the run, the minute/mile data stopped working too. When technology fails, it fails in dramatic style. Hopefully, this won't spoil the POV too much and you still get a feel for the course. A 4 lap course on road, tarmac and trail paths in the park of Chadderton Hall in Chadderton, Oldham, Lancashire. The course is mildly undulating at the bottom section. Road shoes are fine for Summer, trail shoes may give a bit more grip in Winter at the bottom end of the course. The course starts on a flat road section within the park, ventures down a winding path to the bottom. The course winds back upwards gently before a steep incline to the rose garden and out back towards the start/finish area. Note, parking is very limited (around 15 to 20 spaces) in the park itself and free for visitors. Other parking is available nearby. There is a small cafe and toilets on site. The cafe now takes card payments for more convenience and the staff are friendly. The park has a bowling green, tennis courts and play area for children. There are plenty of trails to explore and bridges crossing the River Irk to other areas of the park.
