If Everything Is Written, Why Do We Pray? | Ibn Arabi’s Shocking Answer If everything is already written, then why do we pray? If Allah already knows our future, our struggles, our blessings, and everything that will happen, what is the true purpose of dua? Does prayer change destiny—or does it reveal something much deeper within the soul? In this video, we explore the profound spiritual perspective associated with Ibn Arabi on prayer, destiny, surrender, and divine knowledge. In this video, you will discover: – Why we pray even when everything is already known to Allah – The deeper relationship between dua and destiny – Whether prayer changes what is written or changes the person who prays – Why our deepest needs may already be known before we ask – How prayer can become an act of surrender rather than a transaction – What Ibn Arabi’s teachings suggest about divine will and human choice – Why unanswered prayers can carry a deeper spiritual meaning – How remembrance, humility, silence, and longing can become forms of prayer Prayer is not simply about asking God to change circumstances. It can also be a moment of recognition—a moment in which the heart becomes aware of its dependence, its weakness, and its connection to the Divine. Through the spiritual lens of Ibn Arabi, this video explores one of the deepest questions surrounding faith: If everything is already known, why were we given the ability to pray?
