The Strong Man and The Stronger One

In Luke 11:21-22, Jesus describes Satan as a strong man armed. But what is the strong man armed with? And how has the Stronger One disarmed him? In this Bible study, we examine how temptation is Satan's primary weapon and how he seeks to use our own desires against us. From Eve in the Garden, Cain's anger, Samson's weakness for Delilah, David's fall with Bathsheba, and Judas' greed, we see the same pattern repeated throughout Scripture. Yet when Satan confronted Jesus in the wilderness, the outcome was different. Jesus Christ, the Stronger One, overcame every temptation, defeated sin, and destroyed the works of the devil. Through His finished work, believers are no longer left to fight in their own strength but can walk in the victory Christ has already secured.
