Tenor Choir Practice: “Credo” from Mozart’s “Missa Brevis in F major”, KV 192 (186f), completed in Salzburg, on 24 June 1774 . The "Credo" of this mass features the "Do-Re-Fa-Mi" motif from the hymn "Lucis Creator" - attributed to Pope St. Gregory the Great (540-604) . The 4- note motif later reappears in the last movement of Mozart's “Jupiter” Symphony. Due to the repetition of this theme, KV 192 is classed as the "Credo Mass", or "Kleine (small) Credo Mass" to distinguish it from the "Great Credo Mass" KV 257.
