Building Our Shop Lead: Start to Finish

Watch as we build the new shop lead at the Mill Brook Railroad — start to finish. What began as a temporary spur is now a permanent track, complete with proper roadbed, drainage, ballast, and relay rail. In this video you’ll see: Digging and shaping the roadbed Installing drainage pipe and fabric Laying ballast and relay rail Swapping rotten ties Tamping and leveling with the Tampinator Final ballast regulation for a smooth finish By the end, the shop lead is ready for service and ready to bring projects in and out of the shop.
