Abraham Didn’t Fail Here (Genesis 20)

Abraham and Sarah tell Abimelech she’s his sister. God intervenes, Abimelech returns her with gifts, and Abraham prays for the king’s household. Most commentaries call this a lapse of faith. We don’t think the story reads that way. In this episode we walk through Genesis 20, look at Sarah’s age, the timeline, Jewish tradition about her beauty, and why this episode is more about God dealing with a pagan king than about Abraham messing up.
