Days go on but that day does not come, That is why I pray to You day and night, O Mother, give me refuge! I don't know how I should invoke You; You have taught me to say 'Mother', that's how I call You. A son might be wicked, but a Mother can never be so, Hence, I have taken refuge in Your feet, O Mother, give me refuge in Your feet! In the desert of Samsara, where Smashanavahini resides, this unfortunate traveller (me) is sitting in the trap of Vishaya (wealth). O mother, the Kāla in the form of snake comes to bite me! Therefore with the fearful heart I pray to You, o three-eyed Mother Give me refuge in Your feet!
