Puripol Boonson JUST made history at the 2026 Asian Games! The 20-year-old Thai sprinter stormed to a stunning 9.90 seconds in the men’s 100m final in Nagoya, breaking the Asian Games record for the second time in the same night.
Boonson first ran 9.91 in the semifinal, breaking the previous Asian Games record and his own Thai national record. Then, in the final, he went even faster with 9.90, winning gold and setting a new personal best.
His incredible progression was 9.95 in the heats, 9.91 in the semifinal, and 9.90 in the final. The performance also moved him to second on the Asian all-time 100m list, behind Su Bingtian's 9.83 Asian record.
