HOW WAS I MISSING OUT ON THIS?! ILLIT - I’LL LIKE YOU | First Reaction

We’re continuing our ILLIT catch-up with I’LL LIKE YOU! After going back to SUPER REAL ME, this was one of the projects I still needed to hear in full. I already listen to ILLIT regularly, so realizing I had five more tracks waiting for me made this even more exciting. “I’ll Like You” opens with an infectious chorus and production that keeps building the energy. This immediately had me thinking about repeat listens, and yes, I can absolutely picture this playing while I’m going for a new personal best at the gym! “Cherish (My Love)” brings a softer, dreamlike atmosphere with a chorus that feels so easy to keep looping. The vocals are soothing, and the choreography gives me another reason to appreciate how well ILLIT brings their songs to life. “IYKYK (If You Know You Know)” keeps things moving with playful production changes and an easy balance between something you can have on in the background and something you can actively jam to. After a little confusion with another song, we get into a fresh listen! “Pimple” completely caught me. The instrumental gives their voices such a beautiful foundation, and I never expected the word “pimple” to sound that angelic. We had to run this one back. I wasn’t ready to move on. “Tick-Tack” closes the project with the song I recognized from a tiny snippet and had been waiting to hear properly. The full track was everything I hoped for, and that verse entrance needed another listen. All five tracks are going on my playlist. The production, vocals, and choreography fit ILLIT’s personality so well, while each song gives us something different to enjoy.
