The Rubicon in Three Days Part 2 - Buck Island to Tahoe

We led a group from our club, the Foresthill 4 Wheelers, on our annual trip to through the Rubicon trail from end to end. We took 3 days and 2 nights to complete the trail on a Wednesday through Friday to avoid the crowds. The first night we stayed at Buck Island and only saw one other group when we pulled in, and the second night at the Dirty Dozen was empty. The trail this year was a little rougher compared to the same time last year. It may be because we had more use on the trail than usual due to less snow and earlier snowmelt. We had seven rigs for this video. We had no issues or breakdowns, but had a great time hitting some of the optional lines like Soup Bowl and Soup Kitchen. In this video, we left Buck Island Lake and stopped at the Dirty Dozen Campground in Rubicon Springs for day in the river and camping before heading out to Tahoe through Cadillac hill on day 3.
