I’m 52, unemployed, living with stage 4 lung cancer, three dogs — and I live alone in Bangkok.
Most foreigners here live in condos. I live in an old townhouse, in a neighbourhood where everyone seems to know everyone’s business.
There are fruit trucks, rooster alarms, power cuts, noisy neighbours, and sometimes the whole street floods.
But when the difficult days come, this is also the kind of place where people notice when something isn’t right.
This is what everyday life looks like for me, living among the locals in Bangkok.
Would you live somewhere like this?
Tell me below.
