Chanakya reveals that he wants to make Chandragupta aware of his responsibilities in order to end Dhananand's reign. Meanwhile, Sthoolbhadra and his fellow friends are moved by Chandragupta's statement and release him. Chanakya learns about the incident and appreciates them for reminding that a prince should be emotional too. He stops Chandragupta and they disguise themselves as beggars. They follow a handicapped beggar, who turns out to be Pipliwan's ex-commander-in-chief, Matsaldev.
