DOR - Espelho do Tempo

Once again, Brazil proves to be fertile grounds for all things rash, blackened, and otherwise uncompromising -- and I ain't even talking about politics here. São Paulo's Dor upholds this lineage of worn, tarnished existential brood through yet another dismal stint of post-punk melancholy, truncated by reverberate moans, destructive drumbeats, and an assemblage of dissonant, dis-harmonic stringed accents akin to the unholiest of funeral processions. And motherfucker, would I be SLAMMIN' at that funeral. This shit's intense. A proper cassette release was planned for this debut EP, with these four songs originally being recorded earlier this year, though complications have led to the tapes being postponed indefinitely. But who knows, maybe their Bandcamp page will see some tapes for sale sometime in the future.
