🚨 Parents, Is Your Child Being Bullied? Teach Them These 5 Steps! Bullying can be difficult for children to talk about. As parents, one of the most important things we can do is teach our children how to respond safely, set boundaries, seek help, and communicate what they are going through. In this video, Dr. Dhivya Shree, Pediatrician & Pediatric Emergency Specialist, explains 5 important steps every child should know if they are repeatedly bullied, targeted, hurt, embarrassed, or made to feel unsafe. The goal is not to fight back or prove strength. The goal is to help children communicate clearly, move towards safety, identify trusted people, and know that they never have to handle bullying alone. 💗 Remember: Asking for help is not weakness. Staying safe is always important. 📌 What You'll Learn ✅ How to clearly say “STOP” and set boundaries ✅ Why children should walk away towards a safe place ✅ How to identify 3 trusted adults ✅ Why having 1–2 safe friends can make a difference ✅ How parents can teach children to talk about difficult situations ✅ What parents should say when their child shares a bullying experience ✅ Why parents should avoid immediately blaming or interrogating the child ✅ How to create an environment where children feel safe speaking up 👩‍⚕️ A Message for Children If someone is repeatedly hurting, shaming, embarrassing, or bullying you, you don't have to handle it alone. You can always tell your parents, teacher, counsellor, grandparent, or another trusted adult. Asking for help does not make you weak. ❤️ Parents, one simple sentence can make a big difference: “I’m glad you told me.” When children know they will be heard instead of blamed, they are more likely to come to you when they face problems. 💬 Comment below: If your child tells you, “I’m being bullied at school,” what would you do first? Would you talk to the school, speak to the other child’s parents, or talk to your child first? And one more important question: What would you do if you found out that your own child was bullying someone? 📌 Part 3 is coming next! We’ll discuss what parents should do when their child is bullying someone or when their child is being bullied, how to approach the school, and how to handle the situation appropriately. 👩‍⚕️ About Dr. Dhivya Shree Dr. Dhivya Shree is a Pediatrician and Pediatric Emergency Specialist, dedicated to helping parents raise healthy, happy, and confident children through evidence-based medical advice and practical parenting guidance.
