US MIDTERMS LIVE: 'WORST EVER?' Trump’s Approval Rating Hits Historic Low Ahead of Midterms

President Donald Trump is facing mounting scrutiny over his approval ratings as the United States approaches the 2026 midterm elections. New polling has put his standing at or near record lows, raising fresh questions about the political environment for Republicans as they fight to retain control of Congress. In a Reuters/Ipsos poll reported on October 19, Trump's approval rating fell to 31%, the lowest recorded in that poll. CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten has also highlighted historically weak pre-midterm approval ratings across several major polling organisations. #USMidterms #Trump #TrumpApprovalRating #Midterms2026 #USElections #Republicans #Polling #USPolitics #ElectionNews #LiveNews CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
