It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada! 🇨🇦 Join me for a cozy fall weekend filled with homemade treats, family traditions, a delicious turkey dinner, and a little time enjoying the beautiful autumn sunshine.
We're kicking things off with some Thanksgiving baking: 7 layer bars, chocolate chip peanut butter cookies, and a homemade pumpkin pie. Then it's time to prepare the turkey, set the table, and bring out something very special — my grandmother's old china, which she used for her own turkey dinners. Now, it's become a tradition of mine to use those same plates whenever I make a turkey dinner.
Of course, Leo is never far away when there's food involved! 🐾 And once dinner is over and the kitchen is cleaned up, there's only one thing left to do: relax on the couch and enjoy some football!
Sometimes, it's the simplest things that make the holidays special — familiar recipes, family traditions, a table full of food, and the little moments that make a house feel like home.
Thank you for joining me for Thanksgiving here at Growing Serenity. ❤️

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup white sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
Pumpkin Pie Filling
Ingredients:
1 - 15 ounce can (425g) Pumpkin puree
1 1/4 cups packed light or dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 Eggs
1 cup heavy cream
