Deciduous Bonsai Autumn Pruning: English Elm Pre-Bonsai

We have a 2 week window to do deciduous fall/autumn pruning, without adversely affecting the health of the tree. [1] The time is right to prune many deciduous bonsai species, this autumn/fall. I'm pruning an english elm pre-bonsai in order to transition energy from apical regions to the lower branches.
