S-5 Ep. 4: Akira (1988)

The Poppycock crew covers their first anime with the 1988 cyberpunk action thriller (horror?) film "Akira." You'll just have to slide Akira-style into this episode and listen to find out, enjoy! 00:02:34 Anime Inexperience Disclaimer 00:05:20 Reel Basic Facts 00:09:33 Horror Sized Hole of an Elephant in the Room 00:12:30 So Stranger Things Ripped Off Akira? 00:15:01 Subs vs Dubs 00:18:57 Classic Case of Lost in Translation 00:20:47 One Minute Sponsorship = Tru-Connection 00:24:47 Akira Influenced the International Olympic Committee? 00:41:41 KC Keeps Choosing K-9 Snuff Films 00:45:45 How Exactly Does Tetsuo Obtain his Power? 00:51:44 F*ckers are Nasty, Just Ask aubrey (drake) 01:00:07 Creamy/Milky Hallucinations Influenced a Kanye Album Cover? 01:18:48 Akira Influenced Happy Gilmore too? 01:27:58 Appreciation for Akira's Visual Flair 01:31:39 Poppycock Round-Up 01:42:37 Poppycock Love for International Horror Films 01:52:29 What's on Tap Next?
