Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost: Sermon "Why Go to Church?"

In an age when you can stream a service from bed, worship "on your own," or skip it altogether — why actually go to church? Fr. Paul Flynn reflects on what we can only find together: the bread and the wine, the prayers said in one voice, the people in the pew beside us, and the quiet way a community shapes a soul over time. Church isn't a performance you attend or a box you check — it's a family you belong to, and a table set for you. Preached on the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost, October 4, 2026. 📍 St. Timothy's Episcopal Church · Henderson, NV 🌐 sttimshenderson.org · Facebook · Instagram @sttimshenderson · TikTok · YouTube Joyful spirits uniting in faith.
