Olivier Latry Improvisation, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Newark, NJ. November 20, 2016 60th anniversary of the dedication of the organ. The organ was inaugurated by Olivier Latry's predecessor as organist of Notre Dame de Paris Pierre Cochereau in 1956. This improvisation was performed following the submittal of a theme in a sealed envelope literally moments before the start of the piece. The theme is played first. The organ was built by the Schantz Organ Company, Orrville, Ohio. It is comprised of 193 stops totaling 154 ranks or 9513 pipes.
