The Boy Who Stayed Inside is about growing up and finding refuge inside your own little world. As a child, I was afraid of being alone. I would hear footsteps, hide under a blanket and wait for my mother to come home. Then came video games, computers, and people who lived far away but somehow made me feel more welcome than I had ever felt before. Over time, gaming became more than a way to make the hours pass. It became friendship, freedom, achievement, and a place where I could simply be myself. Even today, I sometimes spend the day thinking about getting home and playing like I used to. But life changed, everyone grew up, and those endless nights feel further away now. Maybe I'm not looking for another game. Maybe I'm looking for that time again. I learned so young how to make the hours disappear. Now, sometimes, I wish I could have some of them back.
