The Four Knights - O' Falling Star (BSN Stereo Mix)

This was The Four Knight’s final Billboard chart single. After a number of hits on the Capitol Records label in the early 1950s, the group signed with Coral Records. This did not prove particularly advantageous, as almost none of their Coral sides charted nationally, and hardly even locally. Released in December, 1958, “O’ Falling Star” was the exception, making #83 on Billboard, #76 on Cashbox and #56 on Music Vendor charts. It reached top-20 in New York City, and top-40 in Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Their previous Coral single, “When Your Lover Has Gone,” did reach top-10 in Pittsburgh and top-40 in Norfolk Virginia, but that was the sum total of the chart action. Their followup single, “Where Is The Love,” made the top-40 in New York City, but again, nowhere else.
