By Special Request: The Cables Route on Longs Peak, both up and down - Rocky Mountain National Park

A volunteer at the Longs Peak Ranger Station asked me to make a video of me climbing the technical section of the Cables Route so he could see the moves required for the climb in detail, in both directions. Most of this video is just me climbing and is set to music. Hopefully this video will give him, and you, a better idea of the type of climb this route represents. The cables route features a lot of Class 3 and Class 4 scrambling, with a 150-foot technical section rated 5.4 on the Yosemite Decimal System.
