Now streaming in ultra-low latency, about 3 to 4 seconds behind real time, so the camera answers quickly when you steer it from the chat. A manual move lasts 15 seconds, then the AI resumes. Controls pause from 4:30 to 7:30 AM ET for the daily sunrise time-lapse. HOW IT'S MADE Camera: Hikvision 4 MP PTZ dome with 12x optical zoom, mounted above the river. AI box: Ryzen 7 PRO 8700G, 32 GB, NVIDIA RTX 5050. It runs NOLO, our own software written in Go with OpenCV: YOLOv8 detection at 30 fps, boat tracking and PTZ control, the chat controls, and live captions of the marine radio. Encoder: Ryzen 7 PRO 8700G, RTX 3080 Ti. NVENC H.264 at 1440p30, 15 Mbit/s to YouTube's ultra-low-latency ingest. Audio: VHF marine radio on channel 9 (the bridge tenders and the boats asking for openings), transcribed live on the GPU with whisper.cpp (large-v3). Data: vessel names and positions from AIS (AISStream.io), NOAA weather and tides, Florida 511 bridge status. Every morning the camera parks for a 4:30 to 7:30 sunrise time-lapse, posted daily to the channel. The stream is a hobby; we hope you enjoy it, and it will keep improving. Confirmed sightings score points; the best clips are posted here with your name. How it works The first confirmed report wins the points; others within about two minutes get a 10 percent assist. The first confirmed sighting of a category each day pays 1.5x. A report the AI does not confirm costs 5 points. 3 misses in a row pause #report for you for 30 minutes. A confirmed sighting clears them. One open report at a time. The same category within 10 minutes of your last confirmed find: no points, no penalty; bikini, hottie and speedo are one call per person. Seasons are calendar months (Eastern time): #leaderboard this month, #leaderboard last, #leaderboard all. A wildlife report holds the camera 20 s for a clean look. A sea-creature report or sighting gives the chat the camera for 3 minutes (#left #right #up #down, #leftbig etc. for a big step, the zooms; each move keeps it 2 more; #auto releases). One appeal: #dispute within 15 minutes of a rejection is a second look with three times the frames; if it changes its mind the miss is refunded and the points awarded. It uses the video, the wildlife detector, AIS, bridge status and what the chat said.
