In episode 3 of season 3, Ray Ó Foghlú meets John Murphy in Portmagee, Co. Kerry. On land once farmed by his family, John has planted five acres of native woodland, returning part of the farm back to nature. Originally established as part of a wider sustainability vision for his local business, the woodland is designed to become a walking trail in the future. John shares his experience of establishing the woodland through the native woodland scheme, the process of planting over 5,000 trees, and the impact it has already had, from increased biodiversity to the return of wildlife.
