When the household’s supply of firewood runs low, Hoa heads into the woods with Hiep to gather dry branches for their daily meals. Though the work is demanding and the forest paths are not always easy to navigate, they both work diligently, collecting wood and overcoming the hardships of daily life together. For Hoa, the most precious gift is not just having enough firewood to prepare warm, nourishing meals, but also the sincere care and support she receives from Hiep. Through these difficult times, Hoa remains deeply grateful to God for bringing a kind-hearted person into her life—someone always willing to share the burden and offer a helping hand when it is needed most. Life does not always require grand gestures. Sometimes, a single act of kindness or a helping hand extended at the right moment is enough to warm the heart and instill new hope in someone working to rebuild their life.
