JPBX 301 Caltrain Passenger Train | 16th St. Railroad Crossing Weird Time Out, San Franscisco CA

Sep 11, 2026 Caltrain Commuter Rail Train northbound on the JPBX Peninsula Sub passes through the 16th Street railroad crossing in San Francisco, California. This crossing also has a weird time out for northbound trains like this one and it's similar to the one at Linden. It seems as if this "malfunction" might be Caltrains crossing system from the horn activation at station sequence activating down railroad crossings but the farthest ones time out and then activate when the train is close and possibly something to do with Caltrains AI crossing system. Also, this crossing still has the light shut off glitch when the gates drop on the far side.
