🇹🇷❤️ ALANYA I Fresh Produce From One Of The Most Loved Bazaars In Alanya

One of my favorite things about walking through the markets in Alanya is that you never really know what you're going to find around the next corner. 🍎🍇🌿 Today we're taking a walk through the Monday Oba Bazaar, and the market is absolutely packed with fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. At the moment, there is still an amazing selection of summer fruit. You'll find bananas, apples, figs, avocados, pears, grapes, honey melons, peaches, nectarines, plums, mangoes, strawberries, watermelons, prickly pears, dragon fruit and guava. There are also plenty of tomatoes and fresh beans. And the prices are really something. Coming from Europe or the US, it's hard not to notice just how affordable so much of the fresh produce is. You can walk past stall after stall and see huge piles of fruit and vegetables without having to spend very much at all. At the same time, the first signs of autumn are starting to appear. The first pomegranates, lemons, limes, persimmons, mandarins, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkins and new walnuts are already here. I especially love seeing this change of seasons at the market. One moment you're looking at huge watermelons and summer peaches, and a few steps later you find the first autumn produce. And then there are all the herbs. 🌿 There is an incredible variety of fresh herbs here, some grown by local farmers and others coming from the mountains around Alanya. Peppermint, rosemary, parsley, dill, cilantro, green basil, red basil, Thai basil — and plenty of others I probably couldn't name. And the bunches are huge. In many cases, you can get one for just 20–25 TL. It's one of those places where you start walking around just to have a look, and then you suddenly find yourself thinking about what you could cook with everything you're seeing. 😄 So come along with me for a relaxed walk through the Monday Oba Bazaar and have a look at what's currently in season, what has just arrived and what fresh produce you can find for incredibly low prices.
