Music Credit : Shah Bhittai | Noman Ali Rajper ft. Welcome back to another special food vlog celebrating the rich culinary heritage, traditional flavours, and beautiful spirit of Sindh, Pakistan. In today’s video, we prepare an authentic Traditional Sindhi Fish Pulao using 20 kilograms of fresh fish and 10 kilograms of rice. This grand traditional feast is not just about cooking delicious food; it is also about discovering our cultural roots, sharing knowledge about traditional ingredients, and spreading happiness through the blessing of food. 🌸 The Traditional Story of Bhee (Lotus Root) One of the most interesting parts of this vlog is the history of Bhee, a traditional ingredient associated with the lotus plant. We explain its place in traditional Sindhi cuisine and introduce another familiar part of the lotus plant, the lotus seed, known as Pabun in Sindhi. These traditional ingredients reflect the remarkable connection between nature and our regional food culture. 🐟 Cooking 20 KG Fish with 10 KG Rice Follow our complete cooking journey as we prepare this delicious fish pulao step by step: Cleaning, peeling, washing, and cutting the traditional Bhee. Boiling the Bhee until it is ready for the next stage of cooking. Briefly frying 20 kilograms of fish in very hot oil to preserve its texture. Seasoning the fish with a special blend of coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, and dried pomegranate seeds. Preparing a rich masala with onions, tomatoes, crushed garlic, fresh coriander, turmeric, and garam masala. Adding the boiled Bhee and fish heads to develop the flavour of the pulao. Cooking 10 kilograms of rice in the aromatic fish masala and carefully preparing it for dum. Finishing the pulao with black cumin, traditionally known in pulao cooking as pulao zeera, and arranging the fried fish over the rice. Giving the pulao a final 30-minute dum to bring all the flavours together. The result is a magnificent traditional Sindhi fish pulao, prepared on a grand scale with aromatic spices, tender fish, and the distinctive taste of Bhee. ❤️ A Feast with a Beautiful Message The most memorable part of this vlog comes after the cooking is complete. Instead of inviting our usual friends as guests, we welcome children from a nearby underprivileged settlement. We seat them in the same chairs where our friends usually sit and serve them this special meal with love and respect. We also serve our hardworking team, including our staff, guards, and security personnel. Finally, we sit together and enjoy the meal, sharing the happiness that comes from feeding others. For us, the true beauty of food lies not only in its taste but also in the happiness it brings to other people’s lives. Every child deserves kindness, dignity, and the joy of a good meal. Alhamdulillah, it was a wonderful experience filled with traditional flavours, cultural heritage, and heartfelt happiness.
